Job Characteristics: The Engineering Manager II, Structures Construction Manager/Quality Assurance, provides leadership and guidance relating to structures construction activities within the Structures Division. This position coordinates closely with the Materials and Construction Divisions.
Major responsibilities include:
-Develop and coordinate applicable revisions and updates to standards, specifications, typical details, manuals and processes related to structure design and construction
-Review quality and proper documentation prior to advertising design packages with structures
-Reviews advertising packages prior to advertisement and assesses constructability and feasibility of proposed projects
-Address structures construction related issues and evaluates applicable project change orders and value engineering proposals
-Participates in the review of Scope & Estimate Reports and Type Selection Reports for proposed structural projects
-Provide training relating to structures construction
-Provide structures construction inspection support
-Participate in structures asset management efforts
-Manage consultant resources applicable to construction
