Job Characteristics: This is a licensed professional level job reporting to an Educational Coordinator. Under the direction of the Educational Coordinator, the incumbent participates as a member of the Educator Effectiveness team focusing on teacher and leader standards and evaluation. The incumbent applies knowledge of current teaching and leadership effective practices to the development of technical assistance and professional development approaches to support the Educator Effectiveness Pilot Program. The incumbent provides professional support as needed to the Educator Effectiveness unit assisting with materials development and professional development projects. The incumbent will need to have experience with mentoring, observing and giving feedback to educators, or working with an evaluation system. The incumbent organizes meetings, conferences, and workshops, oversees facility and equipment reservations, speakers, meals, travel, etc. The incumbent serves as a team member to coordinate unit activities, and facilitate program goals. This job is unique to the Utah State Office of Education.
