Job Characteristics: This is a senior level job. Incumbent serves as a lead worker and assists the store manager in carrying out the operations of a liquor store. Assists in controlling proper inventory levels through ordering of stock, daily and spot inventory checks, assuring correct receiving and stocking of merchandise and placing correct codes on stock and in the register. Performs cashier duties; and aid in preparing daily sales reports, deposit preparation, change orders, and register set up and close out. Assists the public in making product selections and deals appropriately with intoxicated individuals and those attempting to obtain liquor illegally. Receives and fills liquor orders for clubs, restaurants, and hotels; oversees store janitorial maintenance; maintains employee leave and payroll records and ensures that proper payroll is received by the main office.
