Job Characteristics: The incumbent in this class administers the functions and activities of the Career Service Review Office so as to implement statutory programs and objectives. Administers the State Employee's Grievance and Appeals Procedure as established by statute; directs the mediation and conciliation processes of the Procedure; conducts jurisdictional hearings; researches and writes jurisdictional decisions, determines hearing processes; advises hearing officers on administrative procedures and legal procedures; evaluates qualifications and appoints hearing officers.
